Fig Leaf and Lemon Balm Tea Recipe - Holistic Wellness and Health

Prep Time: 5 minutes |Cook Time: 20 minutes | Total Time: 25 minutes 8 servings

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of lemon balm leaves, coarsely cut
  • 5 fig leaves, cut into strips
  • 4 cups of boiling water
  • Agave or sweetener of choice to taste, optional

Directions

  1. Boil 4 cups of water in a large sauce pan and add figs leaves.
  2. Cover pot.
  3. Let the leaves boil for 10 minutes.
  4. Remove the pot from the heat.
  5. Add lemon balm leaves.
  6. Cover pot.
  7. Let steep for 10 minutes.
  8. Strain the leaves from the liquid.
  9. Serve tea hot or cold.

NOTES

Fig leaves have excellent health benefits; however, some people might be allergic to fig leaves.

 You can use dried fig leaves for this recipes.
