Ingredients
- 1 cup of lemon balm leaves, coarsely cut
- 5 fig leaves, cut into strips
- 4 cups of boiling water
- Agave or sweetener of choice to taste, optional
Directions
- Boil 4 cups of water in a large sauce pan and add figs leaves.
- Cover pot.
- Let the leaves boil for 10 minutes.
- Remove the pot from the heat.
- Add lemon balm leaves.
- Cover pot.
- Let steep for 10 minutes.
- Strain the leaves from the liquid.
- Serve tea hot or cold.
NOTES
Fig leaves have excellent health benefits; however, some people might be allergic to fig leaves.
You can use dried fig leaves for this recipes.
