Ingredients:
- ¼ cup Sesame Oil
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon Mustard seeds
- 2 Tomatoes , chopped
- 3 Turnips , peeled and diced into cubes
- 1 turnip greens (leaves) bunch, chopped
- 1 bunch scallions, sliced
- Salt , to taste
- Chili powder , to taste
- 1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon Coriander Powder
- 1 teaspoon fresh Ginger, grated
- 2 cloves fresh Garlic, minced
Directions:
- In a pan, heat oil.
- Once the oil is hot, add in the cumin seeds and mustard seeds and allow them to sizzle.
- Add scallions, ginger and garlic and sauté it for 2 minutes.
- Add chopped tomatoes, turmeric powder, red chili powder, salt and coriander powder. Cover and cook for another 2 minutes.
- Add turnips, mix it well. Cover it and cook on medium low heat for about 5-10 minutes.
- Add chopped turnip leaves.
- Mix well, cover it and cook on a low heat until the greens are wilted.
