- 1 yellow onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon grapeseed, avocado or sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar or Balsamic Vinegar
- 2 pounds Brussels Sprouts, whole
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon liquid smoke
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- ¼ cup of water
- 1 teaspoon Red Pepper Flakes
- Salt and Pepper to Taste
- Optional 1 tablespoon nutritional yeas
Instructions
- In a large skillet, heat the oil, onions and vinegar over medium high heat. Cook until onions are soft and turning transluscent.
- Add Brussels and all of the other ingredients, cook for about 20 minutes or until Brussels sprouts are tender. golden brown and fork tender, giving them a stir halfway through to ensure they cook evenly.
- Once caramelized, add the red pepper flakes and garlic and sauté for 1 minute more. Remove from heat and season with salt and pepper. Serve as needed.
